Types of data processed
Browsing data: to operate the website, the IT systems automatically collect some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet protocols (e.g. IP address, browser and device type, date and time of the request). They are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and to ensure its security and correct operation.
Data provided voluntarily: if you use the contact form you provide your name, phone number, email address, the type of work (optional) and the message. Providing this data is optional, but without it we cannot follow up on your quote or information request.
We do not process special categories of data (sensitive data) and do not request any through the site.
Purposes and legal bases
Contact-form data is processed to answer your requests and possibly prepare a quote (legal basis: response to the data subject's request and pre-contractual measures, art. 6.1.b GDPR).
Browsing data is processed for the security and correct operation of the site (legal basis: the controller's legitimate interest, art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Non-essential cookies and third-party services (e.g. the Google map) are activated only with your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR and art. 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003), which you can give or withdraw at any time via the banner or the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.
How data is processed
Data is processed with IT and electronic tools, adopting security measures adequate to prevent loss, unlawful or incorrect use and unauthorised access.
Recipients and data processors
To provide its services the controller relies on suppliers that process data on its behalf, appointed as data processors under art. 28 GDPR: Aruba S.p.A. (hosting and email); the service used to relay the contact form, which delivers the form content to the controller by email; Google Ireland Ltd for the map (Google Maps) and typefaces (Google Fonts), activated only with consent. Data is not disclosed or sold to third parties for their own purposes.
Transfers outside the EU
Some suppliers (in particular the form-relay service and Google services) may involve a transfer of data to countries outside the European Union. In such cases the transfer takes place on the basis of adequate safeguards provided by art. 44 ff. GDPR, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Retention period
Contact-form data is kept for the time needed to handle your request and, afterwards, for the time required by legal obligations or to defend a right. Technical browsing logs are kept for a limited period according to the hosting provider's policies.
Your rights
You may at any time exercise the rights under art. 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. To do so, write to info@ferrobattutosabetta.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
No automated decision-making
The site carries out no profiling or automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects on the data subject.
